City Plumbing’s first ever Energy Efficiency Centre is now open!

Farnborough hosts City Plumbing's first Energy Efficiency Centre for renewables - which includes a showroom area, a dedicated centre manager and an accredited training centre.

The showroom features an extensive range of energy efficiency technologies and manufacturers, allowing us to take an agnostic approach when advising visitors on the best solutions for them.

We are open to all installers & homeowners so you can get a real understanding for what different technology is available, learn about how they work and be able to see the technology.

At Our Energy Efficiency Centre:

Air Source Heat Pumps

Extracts the heat from the air and converts it into usable heat energy for heating systems and hot water.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps circulate water and glycol through pipe loops buried underground to extract heat for use in the property.

Underfloor Heating

More energy efficient than traditional radiators they can work with either Water or Electric systems to deliver a low maintenance heat source.

Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems

Uses the residual heat from the waste shower water to preheat the incoming cold feed that refills the system.

Solar Photovoltaic Panels

Like Solar Thermal, energy from the sun is absorbed by panels but is then converted into electrical energy.

Solar Thermal Panels

Flat panels or evacuated tubes harness the energy from the sun to create hot water.

Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery System

Extremely efficient as they extract stale, moist air from the property and resupply it with fresh, pre-heated/cooled, filtered air.

Biomass Boilers

Similar to conventional boilers but rather than burning fossil fuels, biomass boilers burn natural fuel sources to provide the heat for a property’s heating systems and hot water circuits.

EV Charge Points

With the government legislating that every new build will have an EV charge point from 2022 we offer a huge range of public and domestic charge points for all types of use.
